Our goal is to make it as easy and affordable as possible for families to attend the ScriptureFest. Read below for the details of meal and lodging options.
Lunches will be on your own. We found from other events, doing lunches this way allows for more fellowship time and quicker clean up. Families can bring picnic style lunches or bring crock pots and use the kitchen area for prep. There are also local food establishments within walking distance for those who wish to use that option. There is grass, WAIT what am I saying? This is the high desert. There is dirt, wind, hot sun and lots of prairie dogs. We'll be eating inside the air conditioned building. Lunch times will, we hope, provide extra time for fellowship with old and new friends.
Dinners will be provided.
Thursday - King Ahasuerus' Persian Feast Featuring Dishes (Possibly Made in Persia)
Friday - Feast of Esther Rocky Mountain Style (Featuring Dishes from Colorado Wildlife. Have no fear NO Rocky Mountain oysters served at all) Have you ever tasted Mountain Lion, Bear or Antelope? Maybe these will be part of the menu.
*Don't worry, not everything will be so exotic, unique, unpalatable or disgusting. There will be "normal" food for those with boring, tastebuds - for those non-adventurous folks!
Several families from our local church have graciously offered to host out of town families. Limited homes are available. First come first serve.
There is a Quality Inn right across the parking lot from the church. Other hotels are available within a ten to fifteen minute drive.
